Competition 2 - Microsoft Mobile Game-JuggleNuts



Jugglenuts is the first juggling game on windows mobile platform. This game is done by 4 game design and development students. It is a attachment project collaboration with Microsoft and DurationInc and it takes 2 and a half month to complete. This project is done using Microsoft Visual studio on windows mobile 6.5 platform using C# programming language , Adobe Flash, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. We Won a Competition prize on windows Mobile 6.5 development on 27 August 2009 and was presented at Singapore's Microsoft Auditorium "Mix it up" event.

News:There will be a briefing session on Tuesday, 11 May 2010 from 1pm to 3pm at NUS Lecture Theater 19. All participating groups are expected to come in order to know more about this competition in detail as well as to pay the registration fee of S$20 per team.

You will also receive a goody bag containing the event T-shirt, certificate of participation as well as the event booklet with details regarding the final day of the competition and the prize giving ceremony.

There will also be workshops conducted from 11 May 2010 until 14 May 2010 in the NUS School of Computing programming labs 2, 3 and 5 from 9am until 6pm everyday. The first workshop will be right after the briefing session on 11 May 2010.

Although it is optional to attend. these workshops are here to allow participants to have a hands on practice with the game development platforms used in this competition.

We are pleased to announce the shortlisted candidate teams for the Game Challenge! Congratulations to the following 8 teams:

In the first round of the contest (Submission of Game Concept), each team may submit as many proposals as they want. All entries must be submitted using the official Contest Entry Form found on the website.
In the second round (Development of Games), teams must be prepared to submit a 200-word writeup on the game concept together with actual game developed. Teams will only be allowed one submission.
All games developed should be PC-based and will need to work on the following Windows Operating Systems: XP, Vista and 7.
No additional software should be required to play the game.
Each team is required to submit a 200-word write-up on the proposed game idea.

Singapura Fiesta: Game Synopsis

Singapura Fiesta - The Lahyon Roars is a game proposed by Team Cravirtua, consisting 8 members from ITE. This game aims to cover all genres, including action, adventure, puzzle games that require tactical thinking. The game will also have some role-playing elements included. The level of heritage involvement in this gamehas almost no limits. It is because is can include any slice and part of Singapore’s heritage into the game as long as they can make it into a fun activity to play. The gameis basically a mini-game collection with immense heritage educational value; it aims to hook players with fun gameplay that involves a part of Singapore’s heritage. Various game genres will challenge players and keep them coming back for more; our multiplayer feature will further increase the gameplay and replay value
